Sara De Pape (33) is a lifelong equestrian, who grew up riding in South Carolina. With her family being from Belgium she spent many summers riding abroad to form a well-balanced background in Dressage, Eventing, and Show Jumping.
As an HA (Traditional B, in 2009) Level from the United States Pony Club, she has taught multiple clinics to D-level riders and was very involved in her hometown club of Greenville Foothills. Sara has won many pony club rallies and championships in her disciplines, and was always open to try new things (such as fox hunting, endurance riding, vaulting, games rallies, tetrathlons, you name it)!
In 2010, she was one of 4 riders chosen from the United States to compete in the USPC InterPacific Exchange in Hong Kong and China. A show jumping competition between all the countries bordering the Pacific Ocean.
While she started in the hunter ring, her passion, and primary focus became upper-level Eventing (Preliminary +) and Show Jumping.
In more recent years, Sara worked for 5 years at the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.), she trained as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor at the National Ability Center in Park City, Utah.
She is excited to offer a wide range of lessons to beginner and intermediate riders and also offers equine training programs. She is a certified yoga instructor and believes in the power to transform your riding through cross-training and a gentle partnership between horse and rider.
